Drip email marketing campaigns / email automations allow you to slowly roll out various messages for specific types of groups or customers based on specific actions they have taken on your website or purchases they have made in the past.
By customizing drip emails in a campaign, it is much easier to relay the right message and calls to action to individual groups of users regularly.
example: A follow up email after an estimate was sent and not accepted, or a "Thank you" email or service reminders after an invoice has been paid.
To begin to go Marketing > Email Automations > Add Email Automation.
Next you will select the “Event” that you want this automation to be sent, and choose the time frame after the event that will sent the message. E.g. Two Weeks after.
Choose which customers you would like to receive this, and you can choose to exclude a customer group you have created, or include specific customer groups to target.
Once those are set you can press the drop down menu and choose a default template to use and edit, or you can add your own subject line and email body. If you use "Insert Placeholders", it will automatically generate the customer’s information in that area.
Once you save, it will then become active.
On the main page for Email Automations, you can view all existing automations. You can view the log to see what was set, pending or cancelled. You can make them active or inactive, and then also manage/ edit the automation.
Here is a video showing you how to do this.
