1. What is the Markate Connect API?

The Markate Connect API allows approved users to integrate external tools and automate workflows within the Markate Service Operations Platform.

It enables access to key areas such as:

  • Customers (CRM)
  • Jobs & scheduling
  • Estimates & invoices
  • Payments
  • Operational workflows

2. Who can access the API?

API access is available only to registered partners and approved Markate customers.

All requests are reviewed to ensure they align with platform usage and integration standards.


3. How do I request API access?

To request access, email: api@markate.com

Please include:

  • Your name and business name
  • Industry
  • How long you’ve been using Markate
  • Your intended use case

4. Is API access free?

No. API access is offered as a paid add-on at $50/month.


5. What can I build using the API?

You can use the API to:

  • Automate workflows
  • Connect Markate with other tools
  • Sync data across systems
  • Build internal dashboards or custom processes

 The API is intended for your own business operations only.


6. Can I build and sell software using the API?

No.

The API cannot be used to build, resell, or monetize software or services for other businesses.


7. Can I share my API access with others?

No.

API access is:

  • Non-transferable
  • Restricted to your business only
  • Not allowed to be sublicensed or shared

8. Are there usage limits?

Yes.

To ensure platform stability, API usage is subject to rate limits (e.g., requests per minute). Excessive usage may result in throttling or suspension.


9. What data can I access?

You can access only the data associated with your Markate account and authorized scope.

You may not:

  • Access unauthorized data
  • Scrape or extract data
  • Use data to build datasets or train AI models

10. Is developer support included?

No.

API support is limited to:

  • Documentation
  • General guidance

Custom development and implementation are the responsibility of the user.


11. Can API access be revoked?

Yes.

Markate may suspend or revoke API access at any time if:

  • Terms are violated
  • Usage poses a risk
  • Misuse is detected
