Refer this article before creating your first Zap: Zapier Integration : Markate Academy
Once the integration is connected, you can start creating Zaps!
- Let's see how to create the first Zap between Markate Account and other app for example: Google Spreadsheet.
- For that, click 'Create Zap'.
TRIGGER
Next, add a Trigger in which select Markate as shown in the images below.
- After selecting Markate as a Trigger, select Trigger event.

- For Example: Select Customers as Trigger Event.
- So, whenever there is a new Customer added in Markate, it gets triggered and respective action will occur.
Once the app and trigger event are selected, test the trigger.
Zapier tests the trigger based on recent information from the account you logged into.
In this case, since the trigger is a “New Customer in Markate,” Zapier pulls information from my most recent Customer record.
ACTION
Now, let's choose the corresponding action. First, search for the app you want to automatically update. For Example: Google Sheets

Select the Action Event - Example: Create a new spreadsheet row in Google Sheets. Where New Customers from Markate will be automatically populated.

Log in to the Google Sheets using your Google account where the new Customers added in Markate will be transferred to.

This is how you must select the Drive, Spreadsheet and Worksheet where you would like New Customers to be automatically transferred to.

When filling out these fields, Zapier provides a drop-down list of data to choose from.

You will have to map where the types of data from Markate goes in the corresponding app. For example, I chose Markate “First Name” field and placed it in my Google Sheet “Customer First Name” column.
Once this information is filled out, Click Continue.

Now, test the action, just like the trigger was tested.

- Once tested successfully, you can Publish the Zap by providing the Version Name to it.
- Next, test it by adding a new Customer in Markate and RUN your Zap by clicking Run button.
Then, you can go to the Google Sheet where the information was meant to transferred to.
And, you can see that the Zap worked!
By using this Zap (workflow) in Zapier, any new customer created in Markate will automatically be transferred to the Spreadsheet added under Action, instead of transferring data manually.

This is how the first Zap is ready! Similarly, you can create other Zaps.
