Send messages, forward calls, SMS chat, and call customers from your browser using your Twilio Virtual Number.

NOTE: Enable either a Virtual Number or Bring Your Own Virtual Number (BYVN) add-on — only one can be enabled at a time.

Login to your Markate account.

Step 1: Hover over More > Add-ons

Step 2: Scroll to "Bring your Own VN" addon and toggle it ON.

Step 3: Click 'Manage' once toggled ON

Step 4: Click 'Purchase Add-on' on the next pop up.

NOTE: BYVN requires you to have a Twilio account and a Twilio Virtual Number.

Step 5: Once Purchased, click 'Manage' on the next pop-up.

Step 6: Log in to your Twilio account and make sure you have bought a Virtual Number on Twilio.

Step 7: Go to Twilio Account Dashboard > 'Develop' tab as shown in the image below.

Step 8: Under 'Account Info' section, you will find 'Account SID' and 'Auth Token'. When you click 'Show' on Auth Token, it will show the value. Now copy both.

Step 9: Go back to Markate > BYVN setup (after step 5)

Step 10: Paste Twilio Account SID in 'API Account SID' and Twilio Auth Token in 'API Auth Token'

Step 11: Click 'Connect'

Step 12: Next, select a Twilio Virtual Number from the Phone Number dropdown and click 'Save'

Step 13: The basic setup is now completed.

Step 14: Now, you can enable 'Call Forwarding' and 'Click to Call' options by clicking 'Setup' as shown in the image below.

Step 15: Call Forwarding setup: You can type your business phone number to forward calls to your business number, or You can type any mobile or landline number where you want to forward calls. Click 'Save'.

Step 16: Click to call setup: Click 'Setup Click to Call'.

The "Click to Call" feature allows you to call customers directly from your browser.

Step 17: Once 'Click to Call' is enabled, you can go to the Customer with Phone Number view page and can see 'Click to Call' option below Customer Name. You can click the option and directly call customer from here.

You can also view the different tabs at the top of the BYVN screen to track the logs. This helps you track communication activity.

You can ONLY use Twilio for this feature. Pro will be responsible for the 10DLC compliance and campaign registration, or else SMS-es will be filtered.

Here is a video showing you how to do this.
