General Information 


1. What is the "Ask for Review" Add on?  

The "Ask for Review" Add on allows you to automatically send Email and SMS notifications to customers, requesting them to leave a review. This helps save time, boost ratings, and gain more work through positive customer feedback. 



2. What type of URLs can I use for review platforms?  

All URLs starting with http:// or https:// are considered to be valid. 



3. What platforms can I request reviews from? 

You can request reviews from Google, Facebook, Yelp, Nextdoor and BBB.



4Can I use a review page from my website?

Absolutely! If your business has a review page on its website, you can include that URL as well.


Setup & Activation

 

5. How do I enable the "Ask for Review" feature?

  • Go to More > Add-On > Ask For Review

  • Toggle to ON to enable the feature.

  • Click Manage to set up.



6. How do I set up review URLs?

On the Ask for Review- Settings screen, enter or paste the URLs for the review platforms you use. These URLs will appear as clickable buttons in the review request.



7. Can I edit the "Review Landing Page"?  

Yes, you can edit the "Review Landing Page" message that customers see when they receive the review link. 



Notifications & Triggers


8. How do I choose when review requests are sent?  

You can set triggers for sending review requests:

  • After an Invoice is marked as paid.

  • After a Work Order is marked as completed.

  • You can also set up to 3 notifications and specify how soon they are sent.



9. Can I edit the notification messages?  

Yes, you can edit the notification messages by clicking the links in the Notifications Templates under Email and SMS Templates.



10. What if I have repeat customers?  

If you have a high number of repeat customers, you can choose to notify a customer only once automatically.



11. Can I auto-request Google Reviews?  

Yes, you can enable the option to Auto Request Google Reviews if your customer has a Google account.

Additional Features



12. What is the "Notification Log"?  

The Notification Log shows the history of all review requests sent, allowing you to track your review activity.



13. What happens if I uncheck "Show Markate Review Link"?  

If you uncheck this option, the Markate Profile page will not be shown. This is recommended if you already have an existing review site, as reviews cannot be transferred from the Markate Profile page.



14. What is the Markate Profile page for?  

The Markate Profile page is designed for Pros who do not have an existing website or review site. It provides a platform for customers to leave reviews.

15. What will my customers see in the review request?

Customers will receive an email or SMS with a link to leave a review. The message will include clickable buttons for the review platforms you’ve set up, and customers may need to log in to their accounts to confirm the review.
