Set your services with prices and place a booking form on your website and collect leads from your customers.
To setup this feature on your website with us:
Login to your Markate account.
- Hover over More > Click Add ons
- Go to Online Booking section and Enable Online Booking by toggling it ON
- Once it is enabled, click Manage or go to Online Booking from Left Panel

- Once you are on Online Booking page Dashboard tab, Click Edit Booking Plugin

- It navigates to the next section- My Services/Items tab
- Click Add Category to add a Category for Service/Item
- Enter Category name for example: Cleaning Services then click Add
- Click Add Service/Item under the relevant Category to add a Service or an item specific to that Category
- Add New Service/Item pop up shows up
- Enter Service/Item Name (for example: Window Cleaning), enter Description of the service, Price, Price Unit. Also, you can upload an image for that by clicking Upload Image.
- Click Save

- Once Categories and its Services/Items have been added successfully,
- Toggle Visible button ON to make the service or item visible and OFF to hide it. For example: if the service is temporarily closed, you can just toggle it OFF for that duration and ON once it is again available. No need to delete and add again.
- You can also change the order of Categories and Services by dragging dots icon up and down.
- Click Edit to modify the service details and delete icon to delete the particular Service or entire Category.
- Once done, click Continue.
- It navigates to the Time Slots tab
- Here, you can set the timings by entering Start and End time and marking available days.
- Also, select the Soonest Availability from the dropdown.
- You can delete the particular time slot by clicking delete icon.
- Click Save to save the current changes or click Continue to navigate to the next tab.
- Once you are on Booking Form tab, you can customize Form Fields.
- Name and Phone are by default selected as Visible and Required. Customer Type is by default selected as Required.
- Other than these, you can mark other fields as Visible and/or Required as per your business need.
- You can add more fields which is not there by clicking Add Form Field. Enter Field Name and click Add.
- To change the color of Book Now text and button on the form, go to Appearance and change Button Color and Button Text Color.
- Once done, click Continue to navigate to the next tab.
- On Coupons tab, you can add Coupons for discounts, Sale and so on.
- To do that, Click Add Coupon.
- Add New Coupon pop up shows up.
- Enter Coupon Name, a unique Coupon Code, Discount amount or percentage, Validity of Coupon, Uses per Coupon (how many times this coupon can be used) and the status of the coupon whether it is still Active or Closed.
- Click Save
- Once the Coupon has been added to the Coupons list,
- You can edit by clicking Edit icon or delete it if no longer needed.
- Active Coupons are listed under Active tab and Closed Coupons are listed under Closed tab.
- Click Continue
- On Reserve with Google tab, you can add your business details and allow customers to find you on Google and book your services.
- To do that, click Update Details.
- Now, make sure to enter your details exactly as you have added in your Business Profile on Markate so that it can be linked with Google. For Example: Same Business Name, Phone and Address as you have added in Markate.
- Click Save
- Pop up will close and you can see the status is Enabled & Configured.
- To disable it, simply click Disable Integration. (You can enable it anytime just by updating details and saving them)
- Navigate to the next tab- Settings
- Here, you can do some important settings. Let's go one by one.
1. Appearance:
- Page Title- Enter a title for Booking Page
- Page Instruction- Enter any instructions you like to provide while booking a schedule online
- Confirm Page Continue URL- Enter the weblink where it should navigate once booking done successfully
- Products listing mode- Select Grid view or List view from the dropdown to show your listings
2. Financial:
- Minimum Price for entire booking- Enter the minimum price above which booking is possible. You can also set 0 for allowing any booking price.
- Minimum price alert- It is an alert to the customers to book above minimum price. You do not need to enter anything in this. Amount will be automatically populated.
- Set Default Tax- Click Set Default Tax. Tax Rates list will open. You can set default tax rate from the list. Mark Apply default tax rate on total amount checkbox to apply the default tax.
- Request a Deposit- Select an option No Deposit, Deposit Percentage or Deposit Amount from the dropdown. Then enter the deposit percentage or amount.
3. Booking and Schedule:
- Appointments per time slot- Select a value from the dropdown. Select Only 1 if you only one booking per time slot and so on. Select Any number if you are open to any number of bookings per time slot.
- Notifications- You can mark Email or App Notification, both or none however you would like to be notified about the new booking.
- Don't accept booking during blocked time- Mark this checkbox if you do not want any bookings during the timings which are already blocked
- Don't accept bookings if it overlaps with a calendar event- Mark this checkbox if you do not want any bookings during the timings when there is already a schedule/event in the calendar
- Enable Schedule- Mark this checkbox if you like to make the time slots visible to customers so that they can pick the time and schedule it. It will reflect in the calendar directly. If not marked, the status of the booking will be New and Unscheduled.
- Auto Schedule a Work Order- Mark this checkbox to schedule the work order automatically upon booking and assign it to the employee(s). If not marked, the booking will reflect under Open Leads.
- Accept Terms- Mark this checkbox to show your business' Terms and Conditions to customers while confirming the booking.
4. Google Analytics:
- Google Analytics > Google Analytics Tracking ID: you can enter your unique Google V4 tracking code
5. Website URL: It is used for linking the Online Booking Form to your company website where the Online Booking Form widget has to be placed.
6. Widget Status: Set it Active if your service is available or inactive it when the services are not available, or you are on vacation.
- Click Continue to navigate to the next tab
- On Website Integration tab,
- You will find Javascript code and iFrame Code, which you can copy by clicking Copy to Clipboard and paste on a page of your website to easily install the Online Booking Form widget on your company website.
- Booking Page URL: Click Copy to Clipboard and share the Booking Page URL directly with your customers via social sites, email or text.
- Click View Booking Page on top right. It opens the Services list, and this is how your customers will also see, add to cart and continue to book.
